The Living Core is the epicenter of the Monster World, originally formed during the Big Bang. Fire Haven and Bone Island are situated near this powerful source of energy, with Fire Haven existing within the Living Core itself in the present day. It serves as a central source of energy for the Colossals, who harnessed its power to shape the Monster World. Drawing energy from the World Tree, the Colossals infused the core with crystallized amber and musical potential, which played a critical role in creating the Continent—the crown jewel of the Monster World.

The Living Core is home to the Fire Elementals, who were found after the Cataclysm when finally the Living Core was rediscovered. This time can be known as the Fire Reanissance. The Fire Renaissance began after the rediscovery of these elementals following the Golden Era’s cataclysm, which sent the Living Core tumbling into the ocean, leading the other non-Fire monsters to believe it was lost until a message revealed otherwise. It was believed for decades that the Fire monsters were missing. No monster had ventured in or out of the Living Core in decades since the Cataclysm. This time of rediscovery gave new life to the fire element and allowed for its expansion among the Magical Islands.
