The precious Cherubble is a hopeless dreamer - and by that, we mean that it dreams so profoundly and so deeply that it can barely stay awake! The eldest of the Monster's Blubberfly buddies (colorless at this stage of their life cycle) gently strums the strands connected to the half-developed cerata on Cherubble's back and coax it into a state of somnolescence. The translucent Mythical cannot yet project its dreams onto reality, so they remain embedded within the Monster as 'charms' waiting to surface. Stories of this Monster stretch all the way back to the beginning of time - it's known to be one of the oldest Monster species - they relate that the soft and cuddly organic nature of the Cherubble came about as a result of a colossal overflow of life energy, and which was also responsible for its close association with dreams.

In adulthood, vivid colors replace the once diaphanous complexion of the Cherubble, and the Monster's affiliation with dreams is made maifest in the charms jutting from its tail. The Mythical's Blubberfly companions achieve vibrant hues once fully-grown, and each has a unique role to play in performing their mellifluous music upon the Cherubble's cerata. Once the critters are dozing, the Monster will sometimes slip away to the shallows of the coast and enjoy a refreshing dip in the waves. But why is a Mythical who spend time in the water so strongly associated with the Fire Element? Building on common knowledge that the Cherubble is an ancient Monster species, legends state that the Monster is as old as the sun itself, and that its blue coloration is meant to reflect the clear sky instead of the sea. There's even a tale that one of its inspirational descendants, the Woolabee, represents the clouds billowing around it! Does that mean that the gloomier, foggier climates of Wanderer Island displeases the Cherubble? Not at all that just means more opportunities for naps!
