The workings of the bellows-driven squeezebox calls to mind the mechanized suits of Bellowfish, and the genre it typifies (nicknamed Poewka by the Monsters) gave rise to the name of one of the Wublins. The feather-like coverings on Alcordion's body have special adaptive purposes: the ones sprouting from its head give the semblance of wild and wacky hair, but in actuality, they are 'memory coils' that remember all the music the Monster has ever heard, using the power of Ultra High Frequencies. In turn, the Alcordion can call upon these musical memories and re-interpret them with the power of Poewka! As for what the multicolored, hue-shifting plumes on the Monster's body are for - they're simply part of the Alcordion's signature style.
