On the Water Mythical's home planet in the Beyond, Pinghounds occupy diverse roles in the civilization's society. As such, several "breeds" of Pinghound emerged through selective breeding, each with their own special attributes and personality. This Rare Dreamythical is specifically inspired by the 'bootle' breed of Pinghound, which itself has a long and storied history. Folklore states that the very first exemplar of the breed was dyed key-lime green in order to make it visually distinct (although this inadvertently led to some targeted fur loss). Over time, this shade of green faded in intensity, and an additional pair of legs sprouted out, distinguishing the breed further. The bootle was known to be highly intelligent and greatly prized as a 'show animal,' although it was imperative to give it lots of attention and keep it stimulated; neglected bootles tended to be quite destructive and "had a marvelous time ruining everything" if not properly cared for.
