While still preserving its connection with the Electricity Element and acting like a neuron for its slumbering Colossal, the powered down form of this Monster has been affected by extended exposure to the ambient environment of its Island home. We're anxious to discover what it looks and sounds like, but a significant consequence of its elemental transformation is the selection of Monsters required to power it up...

The Epic Wubbox is the antithesis of the Rare variant, who traveled abroad and became more in step with the technologies and forms of communication of the human world. Instead, it communes more deeply with its host Colossal's Elemental affiliation than any of its cousins, which is reflected both in its appearance and in its musical performance. The Epics who shrunk down and are now living inside it attest that the virtual world of the Playground has never been more enjoyable, with a slew of endlessly entertaining Monster games to choose from. Wouldn't it be neat if we could somehow experience the fun and friendly competition of a Wubbox's Playground ourselves? We wonder...

Inactive on Ethereal Island

The Wubbox was first developed as an experimental project deep "underground" on Ethereal Island in the pocket dimension, long before the contemporary era of the Monster World. In a crowded workspace, however, even the most diligent of creators can sometimes misplace a few early prototypes. This is what happened with the "Epic" Wubbox of Ethereal Island, the subspecies representing the earliest, most primitive version of the Hex-Elemental. Consigned to dwell in darkened corners and forgotten nooks, it 'ripened' under the unending influence of the host Colossal's brainpower - and as Zarroë is an inventor in their own right, it was only natural... sorry, it was only ETHEREAL for some of those traits to be passed on...

Active on Ethereal Island

Once it achieves its powered up form, it's obvious at a glance that the Ethereal Epic Wubbox is a bit... different. It has taken on the mantle of a hermetic outsider, recalling its wayward beginnings as the prototype form on which all future Wubbox would be based. The asymmetry and haphazard placement of its physical moving parts suggest a consciousness that is disordered and chaotic - but that is anything but the truth. A mastermind that could rival Zarroë themselves, this caped and kooky edgelord installed itself as the owner and operator of the World Wide Wub (or Wubnet), the virtual network accessible to all Wubbox. There it lurks, occasionally venturing into the chat to cryptically comment on the conversations of its fellow Supernaturals and Superethereals.

Inactive on Fire Islands

It's one thing to discover the Epic Wubbox stowed away on Fire Haven, deep in the remains of the eons-old living core - but it's quite another to find the Supernatural Monster in the vaults of the newly Mon-made Fire Oasis! Could the Wubbox's original creator foresee a time when Fire Monsters would need a new home on the surface? Did these fortuitously hidden Wubbox 'ripen' at an accelerated rate after the creation of Fire Oasis to transform into their Epic selves? Only one thing is for certain when it comes to the Epic Wubbox of the Fire Islands: the distinct selection of Monsters required to power it up to its most impressive state

As with all Epic Wubbox, those recovered from the Fire Islands resonate deeply with their host Colossal's Elemental affiliation: the fiery duality of Dulcettéa's divided soul. Each represents a different side of Fire's unbridled creativity: the Haven's bejeweled Epic Wubbox embodies the Element's dangerous elegance in its ability to transform raw materials into exquisite forms through enormous talent and strength of will. On Fire Oasis, the ornate Epic Supernatural reflects the Fire Element's lively exuberance, the joyful dance of a flickering flame, and the cycle of creative rebirth from broken frit. While wholly different in ambience, these two Epic Wubbox are closer than any other, like long-lost sisters who share a bond that no distance can overcome.
